Coca-Cola was invented by Dr. John Stith Pemberton in Atlanta in 1886. Over time the Coca-Cola Company has become the leading producer of soft drinks in the US and globally. Consumers can buy the products from vending machines, supermarkets, retailers, street vendors and store owners. Coke has millions of these partners in the more than 200 countries where it operates.
